Wooden Air Lamps by Ray Power

Samuel Wilkinson the designer of the vessel lamps says his aim is to “celebrate the bulb from a different perspective”. The unique, ghostly appearance of these bulbs cannot but help catch the eye of the discerning buyer. The eerie, holographic imagery produced by these bulbs make them a departure from the traditional; yet very suited for contemporary Halloween décor. The glass used in making these lamps is mouth blown and cut at deliberate angles to make the bulb give off its unique ethereal light patterns.

Bocci Lights

Omer Arbel is a young designer who created a cast glass pendant lamp design called Bocci. Since then, a whole company has formed around the product to manufacture it. The No.14 pendant series are a family of low voltage lighting products, which are articulated seamed cast glass spheres with frosted cylindrical void into which a halogen light bulb is inserted. These pendants are designed to be clustered in groups – the effect being of many tiny candles encased in floating spheres of water.

The 14 series pendant lights are designed by Omer Arbel, whose background in architecture is shown in the way the lights affect the spaces around them. The series consists of small cast glass pendants, 4" in diameter, that hold a 10-watt halogen bulb. They're suspended using cable so that they appear to be bubbles floating. Imperfections in the glass spheres add to the effect.

The layout of these lights is very similar to my light projects, looking almost like a frozen moment in

The texture of this roof, with the use of pyramid shapes creates an interesting futuristic style that i would like to combine into one of my pieces.

This piece especially interests me, the use of shapes mixed with shape lined edges, creates a strong feel to the piece. The use of the colour white combined with the lights creates a modern futuristic style.
