Bocci Lights

Omer Arbel is a young designer who created a cast glass pendant lamp design called Bocci. Since then, a whole company has formed around the product to manufacture it. The No.14 pendant series are a family of low voltage lighting products, which are articulated seamed cast glass spheres with frosted cylindrical void into which a halogen light bulb is inserted. These pendants are designed to be clustered in groups – the effect being of many tiny candles encased in floating spheres of water.

The 14 series pendant lights are designed by Omer Arbel, whose background in architecture is shown in the way the lights affect the spaces around them. The series consists of small cast glass pendants, 4" in diameter, that hold a 10-watt halogen bulb. They're suspended using cable so that they appear to be bubbles floating. Imperfections in the glass spheres add to the effect.

The layout of these lights is very similar to my light projects, looking almost like a frozen moment in time.cool-glass-pendant-lights
